Ramez F. Sousou

Ramez Sousou is Chairman of Daycrest Holdings, an investor in purpose-driven and entrepreneur-led growth companies in the health, technology and consumer sectors.    

He was Founder of TowerBrook Capital partners, where he was co-CEO and then co-Chair until his retirement in 2024. During his tenure, TowerBrook grew from a start-up into an international investment firm managing over $19 billion in assets across three investment platforms: Private Equity, Structured Opportunities and Impact Investments. TowerBrook was the first mainstream private equity firm to achieve B Corp Certification, which recognises organisations that meet the highest standards of verified environmental and social impact.

Before founding TowerBrook, Ramez was co-CEO of Soros Private Equity Partners and a member of the Management Committee at Soros Fund Management. Prior to that, he was a senior member of the Principal Investments group at Goldman Sachs. He started his career in the mergers group at Morgan Stanley, 

Ramez serves on the board of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the Global Advisory Council of Harvard University, and the US/Middle East Project. He is also the Chair of the Steering Committees of the Gaza Health Alliance and Teach for Palestine. His past board memberships include Habitat for Humanity International, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), the Lambeth Trust, and the Steering Committee of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism. Additionally, he was the founding Chairman of the Private Equity Foundation (now known as Impetus Trust).

He holds degrees from Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
